Description
This research investigates the solidification behaviour and mechanical properties of the A356 aluminium alloy in sand casting. Heat transfer, interface dynamics, solute redistribution, and convection all happen at the same time, which makes things more complicated. Numerical simulation is necessary because you can't see through opaque moulds. This study employs heat-line visualisation to monitor heat flow pathways and forecast dendrite orientation, representing an innovative methodology. Validated models replicate the changes in temperature, flow patterns, and solute distribution. The research seeks to optimise sand-casting parameters and forecast the ultimate mechanical properties of A356 components by correlating transport phenomena with microstructure.

Hi, I'm Joydip Paul. Currently, I'm working at Gargi Memorial Institute of Technology as an assistant professor. I have already published some papers related to aluminium casting; specifically, I would like to work on A356 metal.
