Connie's boyfriend Mac has one ambition; to be a stand-up comic. When his comedy act bombs at the talent show, he's crushed. Connie offers to write new material for him and the next time he performs, he's a hit. The problem is that Mac doesn't realize how much Connie's contributing to his success.
