In 1999, Anita M. Palmer and Roger Palmer founded GIS Etc., where they help educators develop their skills in teaching geospatial technologies to students from kindergarten to the college level. Roger is an experienced middle and high school teacher who works as an education consultant with GIS Etc. along with his wife Anita. Over the past several years, Anita has trained thousands of teachers in GIS fundamentals and taught them how to use GIS in their classrooms. Lyn Malone, a former teacher and cartographer, works as an educational consultant specializing in classroom applications of geospatial technologies. Lyn was Rhode Island's Social Studies Teacher of the Year in 1995 and has received awards from the National Council for Geographic Education, the National Geographic Society Education Foundation, American Forests, and ESRI for her innovative curriculum development and implementation. Christine L. Voigt is an award-winning educator and freelance curriculum writer from Dallas, Texas. She serves as a teacher consultant for National Geographic Society and a member of the ESRI K - 12 Authorized Teaching Program.
