The 'How it Works' books have proven to be a landmark advancement in instrument study literature by bringing to the forefront a significant assortment of relevant facts that are rarely covered. The books are synchronized to facilitate teaching the topics to a single or mixed instrument group. It is not a general instructional guide, for the most part. The - at times - obscure history of the modern cello and bows' origins, including their fascinating construction process, is covered in easy to read and well- illustrated chapters that will serve both professionals and keen amateurs as a reference book.
