Shih-Yu Lin was born in Taipei in Taiwan but grew up in a village where he was surrounded by mountains and would often see snow covered peaks with the beautiful sun shining on them, scenes that have remained deep in his mind. He found his passion for making picture books after starting his career in illustration. Shih -Yu is a graduate of the MA illustration course at Cambridge School of Art. He now lives in London.
