Alden Olmsted is a California filmmaker and graphic artist, founder of Homestead Bicycles and son of conservationist John Olmsted. Through Drive Fast, Take Chances Productions Alden has produced five films including 30 Bikes: The Story of Homestead Bicycles (2020), The PBS Documentary A Wild Independence (2021), The Story of Jug Handle (2013), and as director of photography on Unprotected (2018) and Dysconnected (2022). In 2021 he completed 30 Bikes, The Book, telling the story of the making of 30 Bikes, and of starting a BMX bike company as a 19 year old college dropout.
