This manual seeks to provide a simplified approach to the understanding of data processing principles for students preparing for various ACCA, CIMA, AAT, SCCA, IDPM and BTEC examinations. It is on the reading list for AAT Paper 11 in Analysis and Design of Information Systems, ACCA Paper 1.5 in Business Mathematics and Information Technology, and Paper 2.7 in Information Systems in Development and Operation, as well as IDPM Part I Data Processing and Part III Systems Analysis and Design. It is also on the BCS Computer Booklist for Schools. This is a reprint of the revised and updated seventh edition which contains new material on information technology data communications, spreadsheets and the Data Protection Act.
