Asst. Prof. Burak Özsöz is a member of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Marmara University, where he works in the Department of English Language and Literature.
Özsöz completed his undergraduate studies at Istanbul University, Faculty of Literature (1995-1999). He then earned his master's degree at Yıldız Technical University, Graduate School of Social Sciences (2003-2007). He completed his doctorate at Sakarya University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Translation Science (2013-2019) with a dissertation on "Toplum çevirmenligi baglamında saglık turizmindeki diyalog çevirilerine dilbilimsel ve çeviribilimsel yaklasım". His research areas broadly cover linguistics and translation studies.
