Description
This book is an update of the first edition in which the subject matter and concept of ergonomics are explained and illustrated. By looking at features such as the communication links between people and their environment (displays, controls, workplaces etc), and by considering features of the environment that can affect performance, comfort and safety, this textbook has become an important course book for many ergonomics, management, and safety type courses. Although the structure of the second edition remains the same as the first, a number of chapters and sections have been extensively rewritten and expanded. More information has been added relating ergonomics concepts to modern technology, as well as to basic aspects of body mobility. Features of the environment have been covered in more depth and the reference list has been expanded.
