The Gollogans of Carrickgollogan is an exciting forest adventure story for 7-9 year-olds set in the woods of South County Dublin. Living close to nature, the gollogans must confront all the difficulties of life in the wild, but their biggest challenge is how to deal with the "giants" threatening their home. In this first book of the Gollogans series, can young gollogan Dil overcome her scaredy-tail ways and leave the woodland to ask the giants for help? This book is an exciting adventure story for children, who see the woodland through the eyes of gollogans. It is an invitation to get into the wild and to enjoy and protect nature, all while experiencing some of life's greatest challenges through the gollogans' antics.
