Civil Litigation

Revised and updated, this manual explains the procedures involved in all types of litigation in the Queen's Bench Division and the county court. Designed as a practical guide, it sets out the skills and strategies required for the professional conduct of civil cases and covers the preliminary stages of investigation and negotiation. It now takes account of the extensive changes in High Court and County court litigation practice since the last edition, as well as the new High Court Rules, and includes a discussion of the effects of the proposed reforms of the legal profession. The changes to legal aid following the Legal Aid Act 1988 have been taken into account.
