Laura Numeroff is the New York Times bestselling author of If You Give a Mouse a Cookie and the eight other books in the If You Give series. Her new picture book is about a family of Corgis, titled Max and Mama! Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Laura grew up surrounded by art, music and books, and graduated from Pratt Institute. She has published 49 books and visited schools in every state except Idaho and Hawaii. She funded the Florence and William library in Malawi, Africa. Laura also donates a portion of her royalties to First Book, a non-profit that gives books to children who have none. She also sponsors a horse for therapeutic riding. Laura resides in Los Angeles with her dog, Eloise, and her cat, Henry.
