Biology: Course Guide

"Nuffield Advanced Biology" covers all the topics listed in the inter-board common core and can be used in conjunction with any A level Biology syllabus as well as the NEAB Nuffield Biology syllabus. It includes seven separate practical guides, two study guides and two teacher's guides. In addition, three new titles have been added to bring the project in line with the new core and new syllabuses: "Foundation Unit", "Projects and Investigations" and a "Course Guide". "Foundation Unit" covers the basic principles and applications required at A level, giving students a thorough understanding of what they need to know before continuing their A level Biology course. "Projects and Investigations" guides students and teachers through all aspects of extended investigations from choosing topics, carrying out research and setting out their results to assessment. The "Course Guide" show teachers how to choose materials from the Nuffield Advanced Biology publications to match the NEAB Nuffield AS and A level syllabuses, and provides guidance for teachers as they and their students plan routes through the required material.
