Since 2008, my work examines both social and cultural factors associated with sexual health disparities including the ways in which we talk about sex, sexual health, STIs and HIV, and sexual assault.'I am experienced in conducting and overseeing research using both qualitative and quantitative methods as well as rhetorical criticism. Often, I employ mixed methodology while researching social and mediated constructions of health. I have a diverse academic and professional background which includes teaching/mentoring a distinct range of ages, races, and economic backgrounds.'Seeking to serve my community I apply my experience and skills in the areas of health advocacy, promotion, and rhetorical leadership by working with local organizations offering comprehensive sexual health education, program planning and development, HIV counseling, and intervention evaluation. Since 2015, I have also served my community as a sexual assault advocate. Working with my university as a victim advocate and first responder.'I am also a teacher committed to applied scholarship.
