American Wow!: Window on the World: Level 5: Student's Book

Based on a television programme for young teenagers learning English, this student's text at Level 5 consists of 20 teaching units designed to practice all four language skills. Each unit has a clear learning focus and language points are signposted. The first two parts of a unit present and practise new structures and functions, and give students the opportunity to use English to talk about subjects that interest them. The third part of the text recycles new language. The text contains quizzes, travel reports, documentary features and interviews. Emphasis has been placed on functional language, which is taught through humorous cartoon sketches.
