Viviana Garofoli was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she currently lives with her husband, and two daughters. As a child, her favorite pastime was playing with her watercolors and crayons on big sheets of paper; if asked what she'd want to be when she grows up, Viviana would immediately reply, 'a painter.' Initially, she devoted her full attention to fine arts and successfully exhibited at numerous galleries in Buenos Aires. Subsequently, Viviana started illustrating for the editorial and textbook market and also engaged in restoration of pictorial works. She later decided to dedicate all her time to illustrating children's books, and over the last 15 years she has illustrated more than 25 children's books. In her spare time, Viviana enjoys working in her garden, tending to her orchids.
