X-SAR Picture Book

The interpretation of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images has evolved from infancy: these images are used by the worldwide scientific community specifically in the framework of global change. The applications range from pure geoscientific disciplines and oceanographic applications, and more recently even archaeological research, to the monitoring tasks of governmental authorities. This book demonstrates some of the most striking examples of the state-of-the-art applications within the wide spectrum of research using SAR data. Often, the results achieved mark only the starting point of new areas of research.
