Description
This book is a guide to the selection of an Ada Programming Support Environment, and can also be used for the specification of such an environment. Most of the features of an environment are not programming-language specific and so the guide will also be applicable to users of languages other than Ada. The guide assumes that an environment will support all phases of a project, not just programming. It has been written from the point of view of a potential user wishing to select in environment and provides questions to ask about the environment under consideration. The guide does not attempt to specify absolute requirements, but rather indicate possible requirements, together with advantages and disadvantages which will need to be balanced by the reader according to his particular circumstances.
