Description
Cannabis, often known as marijuana, is a psychoactive substance derived from the Cannabis plant. It is also known by other names such as weed, herb, pot, grass, bud, ganja, and Mary Jane. Cannabis sativa is an annual herbaceous flowering plant with a worldwide distribution because to extensive cultivation. It is native to Eastern Asia. It has been utilized as a source of industrial fiber, seed oil, nourishment, entertainment, religious and spiritual emotions, and medicine throughout recorded history. Depending on the intended use of the plant, different parts are collected. Carl Linnaeus was the first to classify the species in 1753. "Cultivated stuff" is what the term sativa implies.C. sativa tolerates UV light and produces more THC when exposed to high UV-B levels. C. sativa grows from sea level to 3700 meters above sea level, and from the equator to around 63 degrees latitude (such as in Finland). Fiber hemp cultivars thrive in the 40-55° latitude range, but struggle in the semi-tropical and tropical zones. Seed crops, on the other hand, remove less potassium and more phosphorous from the soil, while medicinal crops have a high phosphorus demand.
