Jenny ran away from school at the age of 16 to join the theatre! This didn't work out, so she ran away again to Italy to teach English. She returned to become a picture researcher at the BBC and ended up as director of JACKANORY. She left the BBC to marry the Welsh artist, David Wynn Millward and went to live in Wales. They live in a very old converted watermill and in the summer they run a school of art in their home. Debbie Boon started her career as an in-house illustrator with a Nottingham based design agency. She published her first picture book in 1997. Debbie lives in the heart of Rutland with her husband, Nick, 3 children, an assortment of hens, a lizard and a very old dog.
