Author
Valentin Nicolescu studied business information management at the University of Hohenheim, Germany. Since 2003, he has worked at the SAP University Competence Center (SAP HCC) at the Technische Universität München (TUM), Germany, where he is responsible for the operation of SAP training systems for higher education throughout Germany and for providing SAP training to higher education teachers.
In addition to his focus on components of the SAP NetWeaver technology platform, he is involved in traditional ERP training with SAP R/3 and SAP ERP. He is a certified SAP technology and development consultant XI and a technology consultant Web AS and Enterprise Portal.
Katharina Klappert studied information management with a minor in business at the Technische Universität München (TUM), Germany. Her thesis examined the didactic formatting of learning content in the environment of SAP NetWeaver Portal.
During her studies, she became familiar with the world of SAP and SAP software as part of an internship. She currently works as an SAP CRM consultant for maihiro GmbH in Ismaning, Germany. Her professional focus includes the implementation of SAP CRM in combination with SAP NetWeaver Portal.
Helmut Krcmar has held the chair for Information Systems at the Information Technology Department of the Technische Universität München (TUM) since October 1, 2002. He is a member of the Information Technology Department, a secondary member of the Economics Department, and a member of the Carl von Linde Academy. Since 2004, he has been a member of the board of the elite graduate program in finance and information management (FIM) in the elite network of Bavaria, Germany. Between October 2003 and May 2007, he was academic director of the ¡communicate! program, and has been scientific director of the Center for Digital Technology and Management (CDTM) of TUM since January 2004.
His research interests include information and knowledge management; engineering and management of IT-based services; piloting innovative information systems in healthcare, environmental management, and e-government; and computer support of cooperation in distributed and mobile work and learning processes. His book Informationsmanagement has seen four editions.
