Geography

This book offers practical assistance to teachers as they respond to the planning and teaching of geography in the primary curriculum. The statutory requirements of Attainment Targets and programmes of study are explained and the activities suggest how these requirements can be translated into flexible and imaginative teaching programmes. The book is divided into three sections: part one looks at the elements of geography as defined by the Attainment Targets; part two shows how geography can be approached through various cross-curricular routes and teaching strategies; and part three deals with the planning, implementing and assessment aspects of teaching geography.
