Description
Showing how Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) machine tools are programmed, this text provides modern demonstrations of the relationships of CNC programming to the overall concept of Computer Aided Manufacture (CAM). The main part of the text is concerned with the major CNC machine types, whilst the second part illustrates the programming of other types of CNC processes. The emphasis is on a practical approach, and geometry is demonstrated with the simulation of machining, using the commercial CNC programming system, PEPS, produced by Camtek Ltd., the first system to run in the Microsoft Windows environment as well as UNIX based systems.
