This volume presents the information needed for proctological examination and diagnosis, particularly by general practitioners. Emphasis is placed on readily understandable descriptions of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, accompanied by explanatory schematic drawings as well as pictures of the required instruments. There are also detailed descriptions of the complicated endoscopic methods such as sigmoidoscopy and coloscopy.
