June Naylor, a sixth-generation Texas and Fort Worth native, has written about travel and food since 1984, primarily with the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, where she served as assistant travel editor for 10 years. She is currently the newspaper's dining critic, food columnist and a regular contributor to the travel section, while writing features for other publications, such as American Way and Texas Highways. She serves on the board of the Society of American Travel Writers and was a founder of the Association of Women Journalists. She is the author of several Texas guidebooks, such as the award-winning Insiders' Guide to Dallas & Fort Worth, Quick Escapes Dallas/Ft. Worth, and Food Lovers' Dallas & Fort Worth.
