Person
Dr. D.C. Naskar is a distinguished geophysicist with over 35 years of experience in geophysical mapping, crustal studies, and deep Earth exploration. He holds an M.Sc. in Physics from Calcutta University and a Ph.D. in Science from Jadavpur University. He has led pioneering research using magnetotelluric and other geophysical techniques to study the Indian lithosphere. A former Director of Geophysics at the Geological Survey of India, he currently serves as a consultant at the National Centre for Seismology. Dr. Naskar has authored over 140 research papers and several books, and is widely recognized for his leadership in national geophysical initiatives.
