Description
Volumetric analysis is a quantitative analytical method. It is a method in which the amount of a substance is determined by measuring the volume that it occupies and the volume of a second substance that combines with the first in known proportions. This is also called titrimetric analysis or titration. The relative simplicity of this type of quantitative method of analysis and the fact that it requires relatively simple and inexpensive equipment make this method a versatile tool of analysis. Despite this simplicity, volumetric analysis required a lot of laboratory skills that far from trivial. Also, it requires a powerful theoretical knowledge of the underlying chemistry, as well as a high degree of manual dexterity. The book covers the selected types estimation. These experiments spread over the syllabi of different Indian and South Asian Universities for the Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Chemical Engineering Courses. Each experiment begins with a theoretical background under the captions of principle. This book will be extremely helpful for all inorganic chemistry estimation. The procedures should be relatively uncomplicated.
