Lisbeth Checo is a first-generation Dominican American illustrator living in New York City. Growing up she could usually be found either reading or creating art inspired by her favorite books and characters. Drawing from her two passions, fashion and cultural identity, Lisbeth uses a variety of media to bring her feminine portraits to life. With every piece, Lisbeth strives to create art that is inclusive, diverse, and empowering. Lisbeth has a BFA in Illustration from Parsons School of Design. She has had her illustrations published in numerous magazines and her art has been shown in several exhibitions, including a solo titled "The Skin I'm In".
