Description
This board-based practical volume covers the whole of allergy. The text is detailed but was widely praised in reviews of the first edition for its readability. There are a large number of short chapters, accompanied by lots of illustrations and diagrams and supported by summaries and headings. Each chapter is now prefaced by key points. Diagrams will be single or two-colour, photos in colour. This is a clinical book, so theory and pathophysiology are only included to support a clinical insight. The book is written for people who should already have a scientific understanding of their work. Whilst primarily an update of a widely used (over 7,000 sales) and much praised work, this edition is strengthened by co-authorship. Dr Mygind's earlier ENT expertise is enhanced by his retraining as a chest physician. He is joined by Ronald Dahl and Professor Kristian Aarhus, Dr Soren Pedersen, a paediatrician in Kolding and Professor Kristian Thestrup-Pederson, a dermatologist in Aarhus. This will allow broader expert coverage whilst retaining the same successful format.
