Description
This book discusses the importance of the tools and devices that are utilized by the forensic laboratories as well as by crime scene processing unit. The digital tools are utilized by the laboratories and the detection kits are used by the crime scene processing unit. The digital forensic tools include the tools that are used in processing of the data retrieved from the personal digital assistants, smartphones and computer. Different tools are also there which can be used for the segregation of the relevant data from large pool of data and then collection of the packets of data that is available on the network and utilization of the information for forensically sound investigation. The Biometric identification system consists of the tools utilized for the processing of the biometric information and creation of the database for the system. On-spot detection devices and imaging devices are utilized for the crime scene processing and quick and hassle-free processing of the information or clue available on the crime scene. Furthermore, the last section of the book discusses the devices of the future tools and techniques used at the crime scene.

Deepak Rawtani, C.Eng received his ME in Biotechnology from BITS Pilani and PhD in Nanobiotechnology. He has work experience of over 16 years mostly in the field of molecular medicine and biology at various research organisations like USV Limited, Mumbai and Torrent Research Centre, Ahmadabad. For the last nine years, he is serving as an Associate Professor of Forensic Nanotechnology at the Institute of Research and Development, Gujarat Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar. His research focus is on functionalization of Halloysite Nanotubes, Delivery of biomolecules and drugs immobilization. Besides being a Researcher, he is also a NABL empanelled Technical Assessor in the field of Forensic Biology and Pharmaceuticals.
<b>Chaudhery Mustansar Hussain</b>, PhD is an Adjunct Professor, Academic Advisor and Director of Chemistry & EVSc Labs in the Department of Chemistry & Environmental Sciences at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), Newark, New Jersey, USA. His research is focused on the Analytical Chemistry, Nanotechnology & Advanced Materials, Sustainability, Environmental Management and Various Industries. Dr. Hussain is the author of numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals as well as prolific author and editor of several scientific monographs and books in his research fields.
