Wellington

This fully comprehensive monograph of the Wellington aircrafts opens with a description of the Polish Wellington pilots' participation in warfare in squadrons 300, 301, 304, and 305, fighting for Bomber Command and Coastal Command, training and 'ferry flying'.

The Wellington was originally used as a night bomber in the early years of the World War II, before the introduction of larger four-engine planes such as the Avro Lancaster, but it continued to serve throughout the war, particularly as an anti-submarine aircraft.

This book contains many previously unpublished photographs, two sets of prototype plans and early versions of Wellington. Colour plates present the Wellingtons'profiles from Polish squadrons' camouflages.
