Description
This year of reflections gives a fairly comprehensive view of Equity Crowdfunding. It is based on articles I wrote for AngelNews and it felt a good time to put all this together in one place, in the hope that others might learn from my journey whist starting theirs. I am a great believer of learning from doing and sharing experience with colleagues. My reflections on this sector are based on building a Portfolio over seven years, hence this not a purely theoretical book, although I share learning about the mechanics of Equity Crowdfunding and include an extensive Glossary.
My Portfolio has grown to be one of the broadest portfolios, if not the broadest in the UK, covering about investments in at least 600 companies. The individual investments may be small but such a portfolio has demanded significant resource.
From the beginning, I have been keen to learn from fellow investors and from founders and to share my information, analysis and conclusions on the Platforms. When a new investor asks basic questions, I remember that I was a newbie not so long ago. Writing articles was a natural follow on and I was pleased to be asked to write for AngelNews and now to share this book version.
