John Muir (1838-1914), founder of the Sierra Club, is a major figure in American history--the man who did more than any other person to shape the twentieth-century conservation movement. David Brower (1912-2000) was a lifelong wilderness enthusiast and conservationist. He was the Sierra Club's first executive director and the author of, among other books, Let The Mountains Talk, Let The Rivers Run (1995).
