Mastering Home Brew

Randy Mosher is a nationally recognized author and expert in the field of beer and brewing. He writes for all the national and international beer and brewing-related periodicals, has lectured to audiences across the globe, and teaches beer style courses at the Siebel Institute in Chicago. He is active in the leadership of Chicago Beer Society, the American Homebrewers Association, and the Association of Brewers. His interests in beer and brewing memorabilia combined with his experience as a branding and packaging designer, specializing in beer and food. He is also the author of Tasting Beer (Storey, 2009), Radical Brewing (Brewers Association, 1994) and The Brewer's Companion (Alephenalia, 1995).

He is a cofounder of 5 Rabbit Brewery, a new craft brewery in Chicago. Famed beer writer Michael Jackson has called Mosher 'some kind of homebrewing genius.' Clubs and appreciation groups the author is involved with include: Chicago Beer Society, Bloatarian Brewing League, Maltose Falcons, Foam Rangers, Foam Blowers of Indianapolis, B.U.R.P., Q.U.A.F.F., Home Brew America - Beer Club List He has made more than 8 presentations (from 1993-2011) at the American Homebrewers Association National Homebrewing Conference. He has also presented at the Brewers Association Craft Beer Conferences (including a marketing talk at the 2013 conference), and at the Brewers Association's 'Savor' event.
