Description
"Simulated Exercise Physiology Laboratories" is a comprehensive software package for simulating exercise physiology labs. Requiring only a microcomputer and a standard printer, it can be used as a follow up to lectures or after a wet lab demonstration. Also, when a lab is not available, SEPL can be used as a replacement for wet lab experiences. The advantages of SEPL are: through computer simulation students can conduct an unlimited number of trials while varying parameters to gain deeper understanding of the relationship between variables; students can conduct these exercises any time they have access to a computer; and the labs can be quickly re-run for review at the end of the term. The software can also be used as a "stand-alone" program for research and data reduction. The accompanying lab manual includes step-by-step instructions for completing each lab, and answers to each lab exercise.
