Description
"Simulated Exercise Physiology Laboratories" is a comprehensive software package for simulating exercise physiology labs. Requiring only a microcomputer and a standard printer, "Simulated Exercise Physiology Laboratories", or SEPL, can be used as a follow up to lectures or after a wet lab demonstration. And when a laboratory is not available, SEPL is a superb replacement for wet lab experiences. The advantages of SEPL are many: through computer simulation students can conduct an unlimited number of trials while varying parameters to gain deeper understanding of the relationship between variables. Students can conduct these exercises any time they have access to a computer; the labs can be quickly rerun for review at the end of the term; and the software can also be used as a 'stand-alone' program for research and data reduction. The SEPL package consists of a student manual and diskettes which are in a sleeve bound into the manual. The lab manual features step-by-step instructions for completing each lab. Students are guided through the exercise, and instructed to change variables to see the effect on other variables, and answers to each lab exercise are in the back of the manual.
