Set in Harlem in the 1920s, "Jazz" is the story of Joe and Violet and Joe's love for Dorcus, a girl young enough to be his daughter. This is Toni Morrison's first novel since her Pulitzer Prize-winning "Beloved". She has also written "Song of Solomon", "The Bluest Eye" and "Tar Baby".
