Michaela Morgan was born in Manchester and taught for many years before becoming a full-time writer. She was named International Reading Association Children's Choice in 2008 and won the United Kingdom Reading Association's 1995 Award. She has also been a writer-in-residence in prisons.

Chris Mould has been gracing children's books with his quirky, inky artwork since 1991 and has recently branched out into television and film development work as well. He was shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal for the fabulous Pistols 'n' Pirates. Chris lives in West Yorkshire.
