The authors engage readers with a nautical metaphor that outlines the planning and implementation process, including how to

Use data to evaluate and refine the program
Communicate the benefits to leaders, principals, and teachers

Reviews / Votes
"This insightful and impressive book stresses that taking the difficult path with grace and wit is the hallmark of a great coach. In addition, the authors accurately describe what coaches should and should not do for their clients." -- Gail A. Epps, Program Manager, New Teacher Induction "This is a much needed book. I found great value in its framework for planning a drastic change in school culture through collaboration among administrators and campus-level stakeholders." -- Vanessa Nieto-Gomez, Training and Professional Development AdministratorMore details
