Description
Marty Muskrat is a scaredy-rat. He's too scared to ride a bike, he's too scared to climb a tree and he's definitely not brave enough to swing on a rope. When Marty's class goes to Funland Park he knows there's going to be lots of scary rides. What can he do? But he's forgotten that his friends Billy Baboon, Redmund Rhino and Harriet Hare are coming too. His mum's written him a note for his teacher Miss Weasel to excuse him from the scary rides, but he's too embarrassed to give it to her. But, if he isn't excused from being scared he'll have to learn to face his fears! Then with the help of his friends, Marty discovers that there are only three kinds of scared and that he is brave enough to overcome every one. A wacky and funny exploration of childhood anxiety that will amuse and reassure young readers.
