Description
This resource, Book 2 in a series of three, deals with the use and application of basic punctuation. It is written at a higher level than Book 1. Depending on the level of the student, it can be used following the completion of Book 1 to reinforce skills, or as a stand alone resource. Book 3 will follow the same format, but the examples will be at a higher level and the activities will be more challenging. Book 2 provides: a progression of punctuation skills, exercises for skills practice and development, summary pages for revision and reference, blackline masters for multiple use. Tutor knowledge of these skills is essential so that you can provide students with: focus and goals, modeling sessions, practice, feedback, and purposeful conferencing. This resource can be used for: individual or small group lessons, introducing and practising new skills, and take home practice. Lessons can be used: in the sequence they appear in the book, as starters for a focus on one of the skills, to collect baseline information for individual students, as pre or post-tests, before or after the study of a particular skill.
