Published to coincide with the 50th anniversary of VE Day, this is an anthology of newly-commissioned pieces, first-hand interviews and excerpts from published sources, all of which paint a picture of the last day of World War II. The book records a wide and representative sample of the views, both from Britain and abroad, of civilians and service men and women, from the famous to the ordinary.
