Kahane - The Militant Rabbi

Rabbi Meir Kahane was arrested approximately 70 times throughout his lifetime. In Israel alone, around 60 times, and the rest in the United States. Most arrests happened in the 1970's. He spent around 5 years of his life in jail. During that time, he continued to write and study.
