Stickley Sticks to It! shows kids how to persevere on challenging tasks with determination and confidence.
Stickley the frog has the gift of stick-to-it-ness, or perseverance: the ability to stick with tasks and see them through, no matter how frustrating or challenging they may be, even when good results are not guaranteed. Perseverance is an important skill to learn, because getting things done at home and at school helps children achieve goals and feel proud.
With humor and whimsical illustrations, Stickley Sticks to It! shows kids how to persevere on challenging tasks with determination and confidence, just like Stickley. Read along with Stickley and see how he makes a plan, works hard, and gets things done! Includes a Note to Parents, Caregivers, and Teachers with more information about perseverance and strategies for nurturing stick-to-it-ness in kids.

Gold Medal, 2 5 Moonbeam Awards, Self-Est?eem amp quot Relying on minimal text, with important words in bold, Stickley introduces children to a frog whose feet stick to everything they come into contact with but who learns the importance of persevering despite obstacles....cartoonlike illustrations differ from book to book but are cheerful and upbeat, while the writing is simple and accessible, if purposeful. All titles include notes for parents and caregivers on the subjects, strategies for helping children cope, and web resources. amp quot -School Library Journalamp quot More than a picture book, it's also a subtle guide to learning how to focus on getting tasks done. amp quot -Midwest Book Review
amp quot This is a clever and upbeat story that introduces children to the idea of sticking with a task or challenge and seeing it through to completion. This ultimately helps children feel proud about what they are doing. amp quot -Children's Books Heal
