Description
The aim of the workshop was to discuss the following major problems: the experimental aspects of the size effect in concrete structures; the physical mechanisms that cause the size effect; the theoretical models and analytical techniques for predicting the size effect; and the design methods for concrete structures that can take the size effect properly into account. The last aim was the ultimate goal of the entire endeavour. 33 papers were invited to address these problems at the workshop. Those papers were updated and are presented in this volume.
