Description
Big Hug is a beautifully told story for children everywhere. It's Li'l Fox's first day of daycare and she is scared. New place. New friends. New worries. After her mom wraps her in a big hug and leaves her to go to work, Li'l Fox seeks comfort from her new classmates through friendly hugs. But after she is rejected on multiple accounts, Li'l Fox must learn that if she wants to make a new friend she must first remember to be brave.
Reviews / Votes
The first day at any new school can be daunting, and for small children this can sometimes be their first real time away from their parents. For Li'l Fox, it seems a hug goes a long way to comforting her, but this story is more about friendships and being kind and supportive to others than overcoming worries. Children might also want to discuss in class (or with their parents) about how Benjie Bull might be feeling, now that he's been left out, despite his earlier behaviour. Fun and colourful illustrations add to this entertaining and rather sweet story with its happy ending for Li'l Fox." - YouthinmindMore details
