Description
This new team course qualifies 12- to 15-year-old to collaborate in church and parochial work with younger children. Using a module, building-block system they learn to interact with the kids through play, recitation and music, but above all they learn to discover and implement their own skills and talents. The little ones learn from the big ones - that can be a model not only in the family and in sports. Confirmands, for example, can head or accompany children´s groups; this both fosters their own development and increases their motivation to become even more engaged in church work. The material included in this volume provides both professional and lay persons in the parishes with the tools needed to offer special training for teens. With little preparation and using play didactics they can enable the course participants to play with smaller children, to pray with them, to tell them Bible stories and to make music with them. The goal is not that everyone can do everything, but rather to discover one´s own strengths and to apply them in this sense. Team work is the name of the game - between young and old and among the younger ones.
