Description
Who (or what) is behind Manhattan's series of increasingly brutal slayings? As terror grips the city, the strangest pair in New York City law enforcement gets assigned to the strangest case.
FBI agent Tala Sanford has an impressive solve rate, but her methods are odd and her people skills zero. Ditto Chann Connor, who hasn't set foot in the city--or any city--in decades. A living-off-the-grid conspiracy-theory-espousing mountain man, he's somewhere between loner and loser. But he's a savant when it comes to animal behavior, and that's why Tala needs him. The killer, she believes, isn't human.
As they track the killer, Chann reluctantly agrees with her. It's not human, it's not a pack of stray dogs, it's not even natural. His theory--it's supernatural. The killer's a lycanthrope. A werewolf. And Chann knows he can prove it. Tala thinks he's out of his mind.
Meanwhile, the killer's on a rampage.
Can Tala and Chann get past their differences and uncover the terrifying truth before they become the next victims?
