Elementary Survey Sampling

This text emphasizes the practical aspects of survey problems. Each chapter opens with a practical problem and then explains the use of the methodology proposed. The appropriate estimation procedures and a compact presentation of the formulas are then given, and finally, the practical example is worked out. Explanations are provided to justify many of the formulas and to support the choice of sample survey designs. Most chapters end with sections called "Experiences with real data".
