Human posture capturing systems have a wide range of applications in the fields ranging
from clinical medicine to sports and entertainment. In this thesis, a time-of-arrival
(TOA) based human posture capturing system is proposed and studied. The key
advantages of the proposed system compared to existing commercially available human
posture capturing systems are simplicity, low-cost and independence from external
